As part of your monthly subscription, your BRNKL 5G connects to cellular networks across supported regions around the world. BRNKL 5G devices communicate using specialized connectivity technology and are not compatible with third-party SIM cards. We recommend verifying connectivity in your intended area of use before relying on cellular coverage for vessel monitoring or security.
Coverage depends on a number of factors, including:
The placement of your BRNKL unit and its antennas
Your distance from land or cellular towers
Local carrier network support and roaming agreements
Environmental conditions and interference
Supported Countries and Regions
The availability and reliability of cellular networks vary by country and carrier. The following list is provided as a general guideline only and is subject to change at any time due to carrier agreements, network updates, or regulatory changes. Barnacle Systems cannot guarantee service in all areas listed.
BRNKL 5G units are not compatible in the Bahamas and will appear offline until you return to a supported country. To use your unit in the Bahamas, add a BRNKL Satellite Kit to stay connected wherever cellular networks are unavailable.
