Transfer your BRNKL 5G device to a new owner while maintaining control over your data, users, and subscriptions.

Getting Started
Only the current device owner can transfer ownership.
From the BRNKL mobile application:

Go to Settings

Select Users
-
Click on your name under the "Owners" section

Click Change Owner
Transfer Options
You can control what information will be transferred to the new owner, including your subscription, photos & event history, and any authorized users currently attached to the unit.
Manage Subscription

Cancel: Subscription will be cancelled (cancels both cellular and satellite if you have both)

Keep: Your current subscription will transfer to the new owner (billing information is not changed)
Manage Events and Photos

Delete: All events and photos will be permanently removed from the app before transfer

Share: All events and photos will be shared with the new owner
Manage Users
-
Remove: All current users (except the new owner) will lose access to the device
-
Keep: Current users will keep their access under the new owner
Invite New Owner

Select an existing user from your device, or
-
Enter the email address of someone new
Step-by-Step Transfer Process
Step 1: Configure Your Transfer
Choose your preferences for data, users, and subscriptions (if applicable) based on the options above.
Step 2: Review and Confirm
You'll see a confirmation page showing all your selections. Review carefully as some changes (like deleting data) cannot be undone.
Click Transfer when you're ready to proceed.
Step 3: Transfer in Progress
Once initiated, you'll see "Transfer in progress" under your name in the Users tab. An email invitation will be sent to the new owner.
Step 4: New Owner Accepts
The new owner will receive an email with a link to accept the transfer. They have 7 days to respond.
What Happens Next?
If the new owner accepts the invitation:

If you kept the subscription: They'll be redirected to the device and become the new owner immediately

If you cancelled the subscription: They'll be prompted to set up a new subscription before accessing the device
If the new owner declines the invitation:

The transfer is cancelled

You remain the owner with full access

No changes are made to your data, users, or subscriptions
If no response from the owner is received (7 Days)

The transfer invitation expires

You'll see "Transfer in progress" in your Users tab and the date it expires

You remain the owner with full access

The new owner will see "Invite has expired" if they try to use the link
Cancelling and resending an invitation

You can cancel a transfer of ownership at any time by clicking cancel under "Transfer in progress".

You can resend an invitation by clicking "Send invite again". This will reset the 7 day expiry for the invitation.
Important Things to Know
About Data Deletion
Warning: If you choose to delete history and photos/videos, this action cannot be undone. The data will be permanently removed from our systems.
About Subscriptions

Keeping subscription: Billing responsibility does not transfer upon acceptance.

Cancelling subscription: Both cellular and satellite services will be cancelled if you have both

The new owner will need to set up their own subscription if you cancel yours.
About Users

If you choose to remove users, they'll lose access immediately when the transfer is accepted

If you retain users, they'll continue to have the same level of access under the new owner
Transfer Security

Transfer links are secure and unique

Links expire after exactly 7 days for security

Only the invited person with a BRNKL account that matches the invited email can accept the transfer
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I cancel a transfer after I've sent it? Yes, you can manage the transfer in the Users tab.
What if I made a mistake in my selections? You can review all your choices on the confirmation page before clicking Transfer. Once the transfer is sent, your selections cannot be changed but you can cancel the transfer and start over.
Can I transfer to someone who doesn't have a BRNKL account? Yes, you can enter any email address. They'll be guided through the account creation process when they accept the transfer.
What happens to my billing if I transfer my device?

If you keep the subscription: Billing will remain under your name and credit card when the new owner accepts

If you cancel the subscription: Your billing stops, and the new owner will need to set up their own subscription
Can I see the status of my transfer? Yes, go to Settings > Users and look under your name. You'll see the current status of any pending transfers.
What if the new owner never receives the email? Ask them to check their spam folder. The email comes from BRNKL and includes the device name in the subject line. If they still can't find it, you can send the invite again through the settings page under the Users tab.
Can I have multiple transfers pending at once? No, you can only have one transfer in progress at a time per device.
