Set and calibrate
Configure monitoring and alerts for your devices, set a geofence boundary, and calibrate the accelerometer to complete BRNKL setup.
Complete the Add devices steps before calibrating so all connected devices are accounted for.

Set monitoring
Tell BRNKL which devices to watch. BRNKL must be monitoring a device before it can send alerts about it.
In the app, go to Settings > Devices.
For each device listed, turn Monitor on or off as needed.
Save settings.
Set alerts
Choose which monitored devices should trigger a notification when their state changes.
In the app, go to Settings > Devices.
For each monitored device, turn Alert on or off.
Save settings.
BRNKL must be Armed to send alerts.
Set geofence
Define a geographic boundary. BRNKL will alert you if the unit moves outside of it.
In the app, from Map, select Set geofence.
Turn on Monitor in the geofence settings.
Drag the handles on the map to set the boundary around your boat or vehicle's normal location.
Save.
For a marina, set the boundary large enough to account for normal boat movement in the slip — a radius of 30–50 m typically works well.
Calibrate accelerometer
The accelerometer measures the pitch and heel angle of your vessel. It needs to know the BRNKL's resting orientation so it can calculate accurate relative angles.
Make sure the BRNKL is permanently mounted in its final position and the vessel is in its normal resting state (floating level at the dock, for example).
In the app, go to Settings > Devices > Pitch and heel angle.
In the Calibrate row, select the calibrate icon.
Save settings.
Recalibrate any time you move or reposition the BRNKL unit.
Arm your BRNKL
Once everything is configured, arm the BRNKL so it starts sending alerts.
Open the BRNKL app.
From Map, Graphs, Photos, or Alerts, check the status bar at the top of the screen.
If it shows Disarmed, tap it to arm. The status changes to Armed.
When armed, BRNKL monitors all enabled devices and sends push notifications (and email, if configured) when alert conditions are triggered.
Setup complete
