The BRNKL Black Portable - NATO is designed for portable, temporary installation.
Follow these guidelines to ensure safe operation, prevent damage to the unit, and protect your vessel's systems.
General Handling
-
Always transport the BBP with the case latched.
-
Avoid dropping, crushing, or exposing the case to impacts.
-
Ensure cables are routed to avoid being pinched or crushed.
-
Secure the case in position during operation so it does not slide or shift.
Water Ingress Protection
-
All external connectors are water-resistant when disconnected and capped.
-
When in use, connected ports are not sealed — position the case to provide some protection from rain, spray, and washdown.
-
Keep unused connectors capped at all times.
Power Safety
-
Verify input voltage before connecting to the DC barrel jack (10–30 V DC).
-
Only use USB-C PD power sources rated for at least 60 W output.
-
Do not connect power simultaneously to more than one input (e.g., DC + USB-C PD).
-
When using an internal power bank, secure it with the provided Velcro straps to avoid movement and cable strain.
Transport and Shipping
-
Remove any internal power banks before shipping — lithium batteries may have shipping restrictions.
-
Coil and secure all cables before transport to prevent connector damage.
-
The case ships with an expanding foam insert and external cardboard box — retain both for return or future shipping.
