Overview
BRNKL supports video feeds from the Furuno FIP-460. Other Furuno camera models are not currently supported.
Install camera

Mount the camera according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Connect the camera to the Furuno network.

If using a Furuno network switch and you want the camera available 24/7, configure the switch to remain powered on and ensure the camera is powered by a 24/7 source.
Prepare camera
Find camera IP address
If BRNKL is connected via USB Ethernet adapter

Open BRNKL Device Manager > Settings > Cameras.

Click + Add Camera.

From Available Cameras, find the camera and make note of its IP address.
If BRNKL is connected via VLAN in a router

Check the router's device list for the camera's IP address, or
-
Connect a laptop or smartphone directly to the camera's network and run an IP scanning tool such as LAN Scanner or Advanced IP Scanner.
Log in to the camera

Open a browser and navigate to the camera's IP address.

Log in using the credentials below.
Default FIP-460 login:

Configure stream settings

In the camera's web interface, go to Setup > Camera > Stream Format.

Under 1st Stream Setting, configure the recommended values (see Add camera for the full list — at minimum, set Frame Rate: 20 fps and Bitrate: 2400000 bps).

Click Save.
Assign a static IP address

In the camera's web interface, go to Network > Network Setting.

Set IP Type to Static.

Configure as follows:

If connected directly to the Furuno network: keep the DHCP-assigned settings.

If connected via VLAN:

IP Address:
192.18.6.__— pick a unique number between 50–90 and record the full address -

Click Save.
Add camera to BRNKL Device Manager

Open BRNKL Device Manager > Settings > Cameras.

Click + Add Camera. If BRNKL is connected to the Furuno network via USB Ethernet adapter, the FIP-460 will be auto-discovered. Otherwise, click + Enter camera IP address and enter the static IP you configured.

Enter a descriptive name (e.g., Engine Room, Cockpit) and click Add.
