Overview
BRNKL supports video feeds from the following Simrad / Lowrance cameras:

Simrad IP CAM-1

Lowrance IP CAM-1
These cameras don't support ONVIF, so they won't appear in BRNKL's auto-discovery list. They must be added manually using an RTSP URL.
Install camera

Mount the camera according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Connect the camera to the vessel's IP network.

Ensure the camera is powered on during configuration.
Prepare camera
Find camera IP address
If BRNKL is connected via USB Ethernet adapter

Open BRNKL Device Manager > Settings > Cameras.

Click + Add Camera.

From Available Cameras, find the camera and make note of its IP address.
If BRNKL is connected via VLAN in a router

Check the router's device list for the camera's IP address, or

Connect a laptop or smartphone directly to the camera's network and run an IP scanning tool such as LAN Scanner or Advanced IP Scanner.
Log in to the camera

Open a browser and navigate to the camera's IP address.

Log in using the credentials below.
Default Simrad / Lowrance IP CAM-1 login:

Username: admin
-
Password: (no password)
Assign a static IP address

In the camera's network settings, set IP Address Mode to Static.

Enter a valid IP address on the vessel network.

Set Gateway Address to the IP of the MFD or router that BRNKL is connected to.

Save and apply the settings.
Add camera to BRNKL Device Manager

Open BRNKL Device Manager > Settings > Cameras.

Click + Add Camera, then select + RTSP URL.

Enter the RTSP URL in this format, replacing
<ip address>with the static IP configured above:rtsp://admin:1234@<ip address>:554/live/0/MAIN -
Enter a descriptive name (e.g., Engine Room, Cockpit) and click Add.
