Fish On! is a BRNKL feature that lets you capture video clips from your cameras at the press of a button. useful for recording the fight or the catch without fumbling through menus.
When triggered, Fish On! starts recording from selected cameras and saves the clips to BRNKL for later review and export.
How Fish On! is triggered
Fish On! can be triggered in several ways:

Wireless key fob — assign Fish On! to a key fob button. See Add key fob.

RF key fob receiver — set the Input Type of one of the connected input channels to trigger Fish On! See Add RF key fob receiver.

Hardwired input — wire a physical switch (latching or momentary) to an input channel and set its Input Type to trigger Fish On! See Add input device.
Configure Fish On!
Configuration in Device Manager varies depending on the type of switch used to trigger Fish On!
Momentary switch or RF key fob receiver
One press activates Fish On!; a second press deactivates it.
In Device Manager, go to the input channel and configure the following:

Turn on Alert and Critical Alert — this ensures Fish On! triggers even when the unit is disarmed.

Set Input Type to Fish On.

Under Record on Alert, select the cameras to record when Fish On! is triggered.

Set Triggered Recording Duration. Until Trigger Ends is recommended — recording continues until the second press deactivates Fish On!

Optionally, set a Trigger on Alert output — if an indicator light is connected to one relay outputs, it can be used to show the system is recording. See Add output device.
Latching switch
Fish On! is active while the switch is closed.
In Device Manager, go to the input channel and configure the following:

Turn on Alert and Critical Alert — this ensures Fish On! triggers even when the unit is disarmed.

Set Input Type to Custom Digital.

Under Record on Alert, select the cameras to record when Fish On! is triggered.

Set Triggered Recording Duration. Until Trigger Ends is recommended — recording continues while the switch remains closed.

Optionally, set a Trigger on Alert output — if an indicator light is connected to one relay outputs, it can be used to show the system is recording. See Add output device.
Review Fish On! clips
All clips are saved to the BRNKL hard drive. Clips are also uploaded to the BRNKL app and appear in the alert notifications list, subject to the Maximum Video Upload Size set in Device Manager under Settings > Remote Access.
Upload size options are: Thumbnail Only (preview image, no video), 10 MB, 50 MB (default), 100 MB, and Unlimited. Clips that exceed the selected size are saved on the hard drive but not uploaded.
One minute of video is approximately 20 MB. Some event clips can exceed 100 MB.
If an external drive is connected when a Fish On! clip is created, it can also be copied to the drive automatically if Auto-export is enabled. See Review and export data.
